Out of Toliara by speedboat to Anakao, but first you have to get out to the boat, and that was via ox-drawn cart over the mud flat to the boat. Getting off you simply got your feet wet.
Anakoa to Beheloka is a single-track desert/bush road. The local driver in his 4 x 4 generally hurtled down the road at 60-80 km/hr. Local traffic consisted of a couple of these trucks/busses and a good number of ox-carts.
This night we were in a beach-front bungalow. No electricity.
Food was our choice from the local catch and it was delicious.
